About Canadian institute of Complementary  and alternative medicine research(cicamr)

The Canadian Institute of Complementary and Alternative Medicine  Research(CICAMR) is a non-profit medical institution that specializes in educational research in alternative medicine and traditional medicine. It was incorporated with the Canadian federal government on December 9, 2004. The Institute is dedicated to the promotion and research of traditional Chinese medicine and other traditional medicine. 

With the great support and help from presidents of CTCMA and ATCMA and BG Acupuncture Inc, the institution successfully held the first International Conference of Traditional Medicines on Health & Wellness(ICTMHW)  at UBC in Vancouver on April 20-21, 2017. On the basis of the success of the first conference, the institute once again hosted the 2nd ICTMHW on August 11-12, 2018, at the Vancouver Element Hotel  together with  other Chinese medicine and academic groups & institutes .  This conference has been supported by colleagues from all over the world in the Chinese medicine aspect. Everyone is working hard together to make a successful conference.

The 3rd ICTMHW will be held on August 24-25, 2019, at the Vancouver Metrotown Hilton hotel.
