Dr. Tan is Professor of Gynecology, Doctoral Program mentor at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Dr. Tan also serves as Chief Physician and Director of Reproductive Medicine Division at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Director of Institute of Reproductive Rhythm Regulation, Jiangsu Clinical Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Director of Master Xia Guicheng's Office of Famous Veteran TCM Doctor.

 

Dr. Tan graduated from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 1980. Dr. Tan then started her residency training under supervision of Prof. Qian Boxuan at the Department of Gynecology, Xiyuan Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing in 1981. She then studied for a Master Degree in Gynecology at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine under the guidance of  Professor Xia Guicheng in 1983. Dr. Tan was appointed as an Assistant Professor in Gynecology and an Attending Physician at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 1986. She also held a specialist fellowship at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jiangsu Provincial Women and Children Hospital in 1989. She pursued her PhD at National Asahikawa Medical University in Japan in 1990. Dr. Tan received her PhD in Medicine in 1996 and was appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor at Asahikawa Medical University, Japan.  Dr. Tan returned to China in 1997 and was appointed as Professor in Gynecology at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

 

Dr. Tan is a pioneer gynecologist who is actively involved in Assisted-Reproductive Technology with integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Dr. Tan has over 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
